Residential Boot Camps:
Boot camps are hosted at our Raleigh Location.
These week-long training sessions (M-F) are held in our Raleigh training facilities. Participants can expect a blend of classroom style learning and hands-on skill acquisition. All boot camps require proper PPE and clothing appropriate for a Baker work site. All necessary tools will be provided; participants are permitted to bring their own if they desire.
This intro-level boot camp is a blend of Baker Best Practices (BBP) and manufacturer specifications for asphalt shingle roofing. Instruction will be concentrated on drip edge, underlayment, roof layout, ridge cap, ridge vent, pipe boot and shingles. Participants engaged in this boot camp will have solid foundational knowledge of asphalt shingle application.
Residential Flashing 101 focuses on the Baker Best Practices (BBP) used to install flashing on a Residential house. Participants will learn the BBP through guided instruction and hands-on repetition. Basic installation procedures include; apron flashing, apron outside and inside corners, step flashing and inside and outside corners and lead transitions.
