Asphalt Shingles 101 focuses on the Baker Best Practices (BBP) used to reroof on a simple A-frame structure. Participants will learn the BBP through guided instruction and hands-on repetition. Basic installation procedures include: drip edge, underlayment, roof layout, ridge cap, ridge vent, pipe boot, and shingles.
Boot Camps are week-long training sessions (M-F) held in Raleigh at our training facility that focuses on intensive hands-on skills acquisition. Participants should wear clothing appropriate for a Baker worksite and are encouraged to bring their own PPE. Participants can also bring their own tools if desired but on-site tools will be provided as well.
